We are seeking to employ a Mechanical bias Technical Services Manager / M&E Manager for a main contractor to join this specialist fit-out and refurbishment team.

This is an upgrade to existing building so previous project experience retaining a structure is advantageous. 135m build value, 36m Mechanical and Electrical.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES / SKILLS

  • As a Technical Services Manager, you will be mechanically qualified (trades or management, NVQ, Engineering or HNC)
  • 5 Years experience as a Technical Services Manager or M&E Manager with relevant fit out / refurb completed projects track record either as a number one for a subcontractor on projects over 5m mechanical or as lead or part of a team for a main contractor on complicated schemes.
  • Ideally some commercial fit out from either a main contractor of subbie would be a great advantage
  • The Technical Services Manager will oversee and motivate the team the subcontract teams.
  • Strong proven experience on refurbishment projects / fast tracked projects
  • Overseeing the installation and commissioning of Mechanical systems. This includes ensuring that all systems are installed correctly and that they operate as designed; testing and commissioning systems; and resolving any problems that arise.
  • As a Technical Services Manager you will be planning and managing M&E projects. This includes developing project schedules, budgets, and scope of work; coordinating with other contractors and subcontractors; and ensuring that all M&E work is completed on time, within budget, and to the required standards.
  • Ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations. This includes ensuring that all M&E work is carried out in a safe and compliant manner; liaising with health and safety officers; and ensuring that all workers are aware of the risks associated with M&E work.
  • The Technical Services Manager will manage budgets and costs. This includes developing and managing mechanical budgets; monitoring costs; and ensuring that all costs are kept within budget.
  • Reporting to clients and stakeholders. The Technical Service Manager will provide regular updates on project progress; preparing reports; and responding to queries from clients and stakeholders.
