Our client are seeking a Structural Engineer to join their team and contribute to the successful delivery of Data Centres and Logistic Projects. In this role, you will take responsibility for specific areas of design development, ensuring high-quality engineering that adheres to company standards and procedures.

This position requires a proactive team player with a minimum of 3+ years’ experience, capable of thinking creatively and working efficiently to deliver results. You’ll be involved in internal communications, project coordination, and occasionally assist with business development as directed by senior management.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare verifiable static calculations for steel and reinforced concrete structures (both precast and in-situ) in German and English
  • Investigate design variants to determine optimal load-bearing structures and implement preliminary designs
  • Assist with the constructive realization of structural solutions
  • Work closely with colleagues from different disciplines in an integrated design environment
  • Contribute to the development of system solutions
  • Conduct site and building inspections
  • Collaborate as part of a broader team to produce and develop draft schemes into fully coordinated layouts, ensuring on-time and on-budget project delivery
  • Communicate and liaise effectively with internal colleagues, architects, subcontractors, external consultants, and clients to build and maintain positive relationships
  • Attend internal design reviews and external coordination/design team meetings in line with company protocols
  • Work to deadlines while maintaining accuracy and efficiency
  • Take responsibility for personal development and Continuous Professional Development (CPD)
  • Ensure personal health and safety, as well as that of others, by following health and safety protocols

 

Key Requirements

  • Completed studies in civil engineering, specializing in structural engineering
  • Proficient in all building materials with a thorough understanding of current construction and design standards
  • Familiarity with European annexes to Eurocodes is a plus
  • Knowledge of HOAI service phases and RIBA work stages is an advantage
  • Experience in preparing static calculations for steel and solid construction is desirable
  • Proficient in common design software such as RFEM & FRILO
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills in interdisciplinary planning teams
  • Independent, creative, and project- and goal-oriented work ethic

Additional

  • Willingness to undertake business trips to European countries
  • Class B driver’s license
  • Fluent in both German and English
