Senior Mechanical Project Engineer
We are working with a hugely respected Tier 1 MEP contractor operating across the UK. They are looking to expand into the retrofit market and are looking for an experienced Senior Mechanical Project Engineer to join their team in London.

- They provide full mechanical and electrical engineering contracting services, and are looking to integrate logistics into their specialisms as they expand into the retrofit market in London.
- They are targeting a turnover of around £70 million by the end of the year.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- The Senior Mechanical Project Engineer will be responsible for developing a comprehensive project plan outlining tasks, timelines, and milestones, collaborating with other engineering disciplines and stakeholders to ensure alignment with project goals.
- The Senior Mechanical Project Engineer will conduct feasibility studies to assess the viability and potential challenges of retrofitting existing mechanical systems, analysing existing systems to identify areas that require improvement or modification.
- The Senior Mechanical Project Engineer will work alongside design teams to make sure that detailed engineering drawings and specifications for retrofit components work in practice and comply with relevant codes, standards, and regulations.
- The Senior Mechanical Project Engineer will be involved in the supervision of construction activities to ensure that the retrofit is implemented according to the approved design and schedule, and address any unforeseen issues or challenges during the construction phase.
- The Senior Mechanical Project Engineer will identify potential risks and develop strategies to mitigate them.
- The Senior Mechanical Project Engineer will be responsible for overseeing the commissioning process to ensure that retrofitted systems operate as intended, as well as conducting performance tests and troubleshoot any issues that may arise.
- The Senior Mechanical Project Engineer will need to regularly communicate with clients to provide updates on project status, address concerns, and ensure client satisfaction, as well as manage client expectations regarding project timelines and deliverables.
SKILLS AND BACKGROUND
- Have a Mechanical Engineer degree/ONC/OND/HNC/HND.
- Have experience leading the Mechanical Engineering aspect of 2 full lifecycle projects worth at least £5m.
- Have experience creating a logistics plan.
- UK citizen or right to work.
