Due to new framework wins, this design consultancy is looking for a Senior Electrical Design Engineer with Data Centre experience to join their team on a contract basis. This is a fantastic opportunity to work within the Data Centre market .

THE COMPANY

A London-based design consultancy with offices in France and Dubai. They have been working in the Data Centre market for a decade.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• The Senior Electrical Design Engineer is responsible for the project lead of medium size projects.
• The Senior Electrical Engineer will undertake a client facing role in the development, design, and coordination of engineering project services for electrical installations, systems, equipment, facilities etc.
• The Senior Electrical Design Engineers day to day will involve decision making on project progress and direct liaison/providing advice to client.
• The Senior Electrical Design Engineer will represent the company at technical meetings with customers, professional teams and contractors teams.
• The Senior Electrical Design Engineer will carry out engineering calculations to ensure drawings meet required industry and legal standards.
• The Senior Electrical Design Engineer will be mentoring junior staff and team members whilst working alongside Principal and Associate Engineers.
• Validation, checking of designs and specifications.
• Managing and forecasting fee spend ensuring that work is kept to budget.
• The Senior Electrical Design Engineer is to develop and maintain relationships with new and existing clients.

ROLE REQUIREMENTS

• Qualified to Meng, BEng Degree level or equivalent in either electrical engineering or building services engineering.
• The Senior Electrical Design Engineer is to have Data Centre experience
• The Senior Electrical Design Engineer will either (preferably) have achieved or working towards Chartered Eng status.
• The Senior Electrical Design Engineer will have a minimum of 5 years experience in the commercial/workspace sector.
• The Senior Electrical Design Engineer will be competent in specification design/drawing for several building types.
• The Senior Electrical Design Engineer will be capable of presenting engineering concepts to clients and other project stakeholders.
• The Senior Electrical Design Engineer will have a strong understanding of industry design guides.
• Ability to use Amtech, Dialux and Revit
• Ability to liaise & coordinate with the other services disciplines.
• Managerial Skills
