City of London (travel will be required in this role)

THE ROLE
The senior building technology engineer will:
-be responsible for overseeing the work of engineers to ensure that installation, testing and commission of building services systems is successfully completed in line with standards,
-review the design and suggest improvements when needed to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the building services systems,
-be involved in the development of Building Automation and Control System (BACS) design by completing drawings, schematics, control panel schedules and relevant documentation,
-programme and commission Building Automation and Control Systems software and hardware,
-provide guidance and training to customers on the use of smart building systems
-ensure that all stakeholders involved are meeting project requirements in line with deadlines and budgets,
-be actively involved in projects delivery
BACKGROUND, ESSENTIAL SKILLS
The senior building technology engineer will:
-have engineering design background and digital skills to work on creating intelligent buildings
-be an experienced professional in the building management systems with a proven experience in a similar role
-knowledge of protocols
-have a degree in Building Services and/or Building Technology (Automation); candidates with a degree in relevant engineering disciplines will be considered if they have at least 5 years of demonstrable BMS experience,
-be proficient in KNX (ETS software) and/or other relevant building technology software
-have worked on a variety of projects across sectors
-have experience using engineering software programmes including AutoCAD, Revit, Bluebeam and ACC,
-have a UK driving licence,
-be a well organised individual with excellent time management skills and ability to work independently,
-communicate effectively and clearly in a straightforward and professional manner,
-be a great problem solver who can offer help and suggest solutions,
-fit in the dynamic team which works on innovative solutions,
-possess in-depth knowledge of building technology systems in the British market.
