The company specialise in designing innovating and solution focused services for award winning building projects across the globe within the commercial, healthcare, data centre, life sciences, leisure and heritage sectors.  

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES / SKILLS AND BACKGROUND  

• The Principal Mechanical Design Engineer will have +6 years working experience   
• Relevant degree / CIBSE or recognised membership / Chartered engineer or close would be a great advantage   

• The Principal Mechanical Design Engineer must have technical knowledge and a in depth understanding of building services engineering RIBA stage 2 -5 of the design process  
• The Principal Mechanical Design Engineer should have an in-dept understanding of modern technical delivery methods and be competent in designing and reviewing information by others  
• Data centre or missional critical projects a great advantage or life science / pharma / theatre project experience essential   
• The Principal Mechanical Design Engineer must have a high level of resilience.  
• Excellent technical knowledge in Mechanical Design Engineering and a thorough understanding of Building Services Engineering and interdisciplinary design through all stages of the design process.  

• Previous consultancy experience: The Principal Mechanical Design Engineer will appreciate the importance of complementary specialisms such as sustainability, intelligent buildings, fire engineering and acoustics in the design of buildings.  
• The Principal Mechanical Design Engineer must have previous experience working in multi-disciplinary environment, with exceptional communications skills and a team-based work approach   
• Appreciation of client needs, with ability to face clients.  
• The Principal Mechanical Design Engineer will mentor and supervise junior members of staff.  
• Hevacomp software essential and REVIT advantage   

• This position offers a hybrid set up, 2 days in office (Tuesdays and Thursdays)  
• 9-day fortnight – the firm offers all employees the option to work a 9-day working fortnight 

£60 000 – £70 000 plus healthcare + pension + car allowance+ bonus
