With a global presence, they are a powerhouse in the Data Centre market, operating in multiple offices in the UK, The Netherlands, Germany, France, Italy, Spain, Brazil and the Middle East.

THE ROLE:

• Responsible for running multiple data centre projects, overseeing the development of designs, team coordination of the engineering design aspects etc.
• Carry out cost and profit diagnosis on projects.
• Day to day decision making on project progress, provides advice and direct liaison with clients.
• Ensuring engineering calculations and drawings meet required industry, company and legal requirements.
• Represents Company at technical meetings with customers, professional teams and contractors teams.
• Ensures risk and performance monitoring analysis takes place through effective systems of internal control and delegation.
• Leads on the coordination of engineering services
• Support the delivery of projects in accordance with the expectations of the Project Delivery Process from a Project Management, Financial Management, QA/QC and Technical Review perspective.
• Develops and specifies applications of controls, instruments, and operating systems for all building engineering services purposes

ROLE REQUIREMENTS:

Our client is looking for a Principal Electrical Design Engineer with:

• MV, LV and HV experience
• Experience working on Data Centres (mission critical systems) 5+ years of experience is ideal.
• Having the experience in either running projects from an MEP perspective or having been the lead engineer and overseeing the project as a whole is required.
• Experience using Dialux, Amtech and Revit.
• Chartered Eng status
• Ability to use it based calculation and spreadsheet software.
• Chairing/facilitation of meeting skills
• Significant experience of specification design for a range of building types (ideally those in the mission critical sector)
