This award-winning off-site construction company is looking for an Estimating Manager to join their commercial team in Southwark, London, on a permanent basis.

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE ESTIMATING MANAGER

• The Estimating Manager will appraise tender documents and prepare estimates as necessary
• Measuring bulders quantities and managing the preparation of Bills of Quantities
• Preparing sub-contract and material enquiries
• The Estimating Manager will maintain good relationships with subcontractors and suppliers
• First principles pricing for selected trades using the company standard outputs
• The Estimating Manager will carry out risk and value management of tenders. This includes spotting, taking advantage of and advising internal teams on potential risks and opportunities in a tender/project

SKILLS AND BACKGROUND OF THE ESTIMATING MANAGER

• The Estimating Manager will have 5-10 years of relevant experience within the estimating sector
• The Estimating Manager wil have early stage project commercial experience
• The Estimating Manager will have gained at least part of their estimating experience within the construction industry
•  Experience working for either a main contractor or a subcontractor
