A fantastic opportunity for an Electrical Design Engineer to join a well known and respected market leading multi-disciplinary consultancy who specialise in Data Centre projects throughout the UK and Europe. This is to join their Critical Systems team to be based in City of London working a multitude of projects with a team of around 100 people.

THE ROLE:

  • This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Electrical Design Engineer to join the critical systems team, and to play a role in ensuring the successful delivery of innovative electrical design solutions for some of the most notable and large-scale data centre projects in the world.
  • You will collaborate within the critical systems team and work closely with colleagues of various disciplines to help manage the delivery of technically excellent and profitable projects.
  • The role will include helping to deliver designs, keeping an eye on fee and programme, checking designs and communication with the team and wider.
  • You would be assisting and helping the intermediate and senior engineers with schematic designs, containment calculations, small power and lighting design, alongside a variety of other responsibilities.

SKILLS AND BACKGROUND:

  • A Chartered Engineer, educated to degree level in Electrical, Electronic or Power Systems Engineering, you have gained significant experience in an electrical engineering role within the engineering field.
  • You will have experience in the hands-on design, including and understanding the principals of standard engineering practices. In your most recent position, you have consistently demonstrated your ability to work and contribute on small to medium-scale projects and assist senior engineers to deliver to, and exceed, client expectations.
  • Ability to use IT based calculation and spreadsheet software (Amtech, Dialux, Relux, Revit).
