Due to an increase in project wins and in line with a pre-existing growth plan, we are looking for an Electrical Design Engineer with a building services background to join the Data Centre team of a multidisciplinary building services consultancy in the UK. They are looking for people to join either their London, Bristol or Reading offices.

THE ROLE

  • This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Electrical Design Engineer to join an excellent consultancy, and to play a role in ensuring the successful delivery of innovative electrical design solutions for some of the most notable and large-scale data centre projects in the world.
  • You will collaborate within the critical systems team as an Electrical Design Engineer and work closely with colleagues of various disciplines to help manage the delivery of technically excellent and profitable projects.
  • The role of Electrical Design Engineer will include helping to deliver designs, keeping an eye on fee and programme, checking designs and communication with the team and wider.
  • As an Electrical Design Engineer, you will be responsible for delivering the schematic designs, containment calculations, small power and lighting design, alongside a variety of other responsibilities.

 

SKILLS AND BACKGROUND

  • Educated to degree level in Electrical, Electronic or Power Systems Engineering, you have experience in an Electrical Design Engineer or Senior Electrical Design Engineer role within the building services field.
  • You will have experience in the hands-on design, including and understanding the principals of standard engineering practices. In your most recent position, you have consistently demonstrated your ability to contribute and deliver to, and exceed, client expectations.
  • Ability to use IT based calculation and spreadsheet software (Amtech, Dialux, Relux, Revit).
  • Have UK right to work.
