BIM MANAGER

A well-established global engineering consultancy with a focus on providing high quality M&E design services is looking for a BIM Manager to join their London team. The company has been involved in large-scale projects across all sectors, but in the last few years they have been specialising in mission critical projects including data centres. The company has been actively working towards creating a net zero carbon building environment by working on sustainable strategies and implementing smarted practices on projects and in daily operations.

THE ROLE

-The BIM Manager will manage a team of BIM modelers and coordinators.

-The BIM Manager will oversee a range of M&E projects in the data centre sector.

-The BIM Manager will be client facing and will actively participate in meetings with various stakeholders internally and externally.

-The BIM Manager will provide support and training to less senior members of their team.

-The BIM Manager will be responsible for ensuring quality modelling of MEP systems on large scale projects.

-The BIM Manager will review BIM models to ensure they are created in line with the company’s standards.

BACKGROUND AND ESSENTIAL SKILLS

-A degree in electrical or mechanical engineering and/or building information technology or an equivalent qualification (prior MEP experience is essential).

-Knowledge and practical understanding of MEP including requirements for installation, servicing and maintenance.

-Qualifications in relevant software such as Autodesk Revit MEP and similar technical programmes.

-Experience managing teams, leadership skills.

-Experience working on large scale and complex building projects.

-Proven track record in successfully creating BIM models, project plans according to standards.

-Proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit.

-Experience dealing with clients and managing their expectations.

-Background in consultancy ideally.

-Experience working under pressure to meet deadlines while maintaining excellent attention to detail.
