Due to an increase in project wins and in line with a pre-existing growth plan, we are looking for an Mechanical Design Engineer with a building services background to join the Berlin office of a global building services consultancy.

THE ROLE

• This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Mechanical Design Engineer to join an excellent consultancy, and to play a role in ensuring the successful delivery of innovative mechanical design solutions for some of the most notable and large-scale data centre projects in the world.
• You will collaborate within the critical systems team as a Mechanical Design Engineer and work closely with colleagues of various disciplines to help manage the delivery of technically excellent and profitable projects.
• The role of Mechanical Design Engineer will include helping to deliver designs, keeping an eye on fee and programme, checking designs and communication with the team and wider.
• As a Mechanical Design Engineer, you would be assisting and helping the senior engineers with HVAC designs, alongside a variety of other responsibilities.

SKILLS AND BACKGROUND

• Educated to degree level in Mechanical Engineering, you have between 2 and 4 years of experience in a Mechanical Design Engineer role within the building services field.
• You will have experience in the hands-on design, including and understanding the principals of standard engineering practices. In your most recent position, you have consistently demonstrated your ability to contribute and assist senior engineers to deliver to, and exceed, client expectations.
• You will have experience of working in projects located in Germany and be familiar with German codes and regulations.
• Fluent in German and English.
• Ability to use IT based calculation and spreadsheet software (Revit).
