The Position
Our client is looking for a mechanical design engineer who is passionate about getting into the Data Centre sector. They are looking for someone to join their young and growing team in a fast-paced flexible office environment. As a mechanical design engineer with our client the prospect of fast career progression is something that is very achievable within their team.
Skills and Background
- The Mechanical Design Engineer will have a minimum 2 years’ engineering experience across the full project lifecycle.
- The Mechanical Design Engineer will have relevant tertiary qualification combined with equivalent training, accreditation, and experience.
- The Mechanical Design Engineer will have a well-developed understanding of relevant Standards and a well-developed understanding of Project Stages and Delivery methods (e.g. full design, design and construct).
- The Mechanical Design Engineer will have experience using Revit.
- The mechanical design engineer will be passionate about the Data Centre sector and will want to push their career forward.
Key Responsibilities
- The Mechanical Design Engineer will be working on projects for the critical systems team.
- The Mechanical Design Engineer will collaborate within the critical systems team and work closely with colleagues of various disciplines to help the delivery of technically excellent and profitable projects.
- The Mechanical Design Engineer will be producing and reviewing mechanical design drawings incl. HVAC, water, etc. on data centre projects.
- The Mechanical Design Engineer will be responsible for producing technical drawings, engineering designs, calculations, and specifications with the use of software and in accordance with agreed deadlines and budgets.
- The Mechanical Design Engineer will be able to prepare technical reports in accordance with briefs from clients.
