Senior Quantity Surveyor

Our long-term client is an award-winning modular build contractor with a goal to provide more affordable solutions to reduce carbon emissions. They are looking for a Senior Quantity Surveyors who want to be part of, not only the UK’s leading modular build company but also a company that offers long-term security and career progression. The Senior Quantity Surveyor will play a pivotal role in helping support the commercial team, whilst also assisting in helping lead large projects.

The responsibilities include:

· The Senior Quantity Surveyor will be in charge of managing subcontractors and liaising closely with them to ensure deadlines are met.

· The Senior Quantity Surveyor will manage ongoing contracts and ensure that certain factors are being delivered and charged in the subcontractor’s contract.

· The Senior Quantity Surveyor will oversee the full life cycle of various projects and manage cost calculation, cost projection and subcontractor management.

· The Senior Quantity Surveyor will be in charge of managing project profit, what’s been supplied and accounted for and what is needed for successful project delivery.

· The Senior Quantity Surveyor will liaise with clients, subcontractors and various commercial team members, whilst reporting to our client’s Commercial Lead with updates on the project status.

· The Senior Quantity Surveyor will travel to various sites and help run and manage projects in different stages.

· The Senior Quantity Surveyor will also act as a mentor to more junior members of the team, helping them with client exposure and liaison, subcontractor communication and dealing with any contractual issues which may arise in a project.

· Monitoring the capital expenditure phases of the development of a project.

· Analysing project finances and report against initial project budgets.

· Preparing tender and contract documents.

· Managing tenders and bids for new potential projects.

Necessary skills and experience:

· A minimum of 8+ years of experience as a Senior Quantity Surveyor is desired.

· The Senior Quantity Surveyor will have experience overseeing the full life cycle of various projects, from pre-construction to handover.

· The Senior Quantity Surveyor will be happy to travel to various sites weekly to ensure projects are running smoothly and on time.

· The Senior Quantity Surveyor will have construction experience and come from a build/construction background.

· The Senior Quantity Surveyor should have a willingness to tackle challenges and solve problems to ensure successful project delivery.
