CONTRACT ROLE – OUTSIDE IR35 – DATA CENTRE EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

This successful engineering consultancy are looking for a Senior Electrical Design Engineer to join their variety of Data Centre projects in the UK on a contract basis with no office requirement unless desired.

RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE SENIOR ELECTRICAL DESIGN ENGINEER

• The Senior Electrical Design Engineer’s day to day will involve decision making on project progress and direct liaison/providing advice to client.
• The Senior Electrical Design Engineer will represent the company at technical meetings with customers, professional teams and contractors’ teams.
• The Senior Electrical Design Engineer will carry out engineering calculations to ensure drawings meet required industry and legal standards.
• The Senior Electrical Design Engineer will be mentoring junior staff and team members whilst working alongside Principal and Associate Engineers.
• Validation, checking of designs and specifications.
• Managing and forecasting fee spend ensuring that work is kept to budget.
• The Senior Electrical Design Engineer is to develop and maintain relationships with new and existing clients.

SKILLS AND BACKGROUND OF THE SENIOR ELECTRICAL DESIGN ENGINEER

• The Senior Electrical Design Engineer is to have Data Centre experience
• The Senior Electrical Design Engineer will have a minimum of 5 years’ experience in the construction industry.
• The Senior Electrical Design Engineer will be competent in specification design/drawing for several building types.
• The Senior Electrical Design Engineer will be capable of presenting engineering concepts to clients and other project stakeholders.
• The Senior Electrical Design Engineer will have a strong understanding of industry design guides.
• Ability to use Amtech, Dialux and Revit
• Ability to liaise & coordinate with the other services disciplines.
