Project Manager
As a project manager, you will be accountable for initiation, planning, execution, regulation and final completion of projects throughout the preconstruction and construction stages of various projects. Support will be given by internal teams of construction, design and commercial managers, along with close work with the senior project manager. This is a client focused role.
As a project manager, candidates will be responsible for delivering outputs, managing team operations and achieving the agreed goals set within the project scope.
The project manager will be predominantly office based in the London based HQ, with occasional visits to the factory, site, consultant office and client locations as required.

Responsibilities of the Project Manager
– A project manager will act as the main point of contact to the client and their advisors.
– They will be able to oversee the preconstruction process from RIBA stage 2 – RIBA stage 4.
– Project managers will be required to lead client and design team meetings for projects in the region of £10million – £20milllion.
– A project manager will need to manage changes that may occur throughout the preconstruction phases and be able to communicate this with the client and design teams.
– Be able to coordinate with the internal teams to develop construction phasing plans that they should then be able to feedback and present to the client.
– Be able to successfully negotiate fees with external consultants and be able to act in accordance with the company’s processes.
– Lead the external consultants in preparing and achieving planning permission for projects.
– Successful project managers should be able to provide good consistent feedback to clients throughout the entire preconstruction and construction process.
Skills and Background of the Project Manager
– A project manager will have a degree in Construction Management, Project Management, or related discipline/ or equivalent work experience.
– Candidates should be a member of APM/RICS/CIOB or equivalent professional organisation or can be working towards achieving this.
– Experience of working throughout all project stages from beginning through to the end of defects period.
– Minimum of 3 – 4 years experience.
– Experience in £7million – £20million projects
– A desired project manager will have experience in the education field
