Aylin White are working with a growing main contractor looking to expand their data centre team with an M&E Quantity Surveyor. We are currently looking for ambitious candidates for a position based from an office in West London and sites in north west London to work on various data centres. One of the current projects is a 120m overall value data centre with 60m M&E package. You do not need previous data centre experience, so this is a great opportunity to get onboard. A fantastic opportunity to join a progressive, growing commercial team as an M&E Quantity Surveyor, and get great exposure working alongside the M&E Commercial Manager.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES / SKILLS AND BACKGROUND
- Management qualification (from ONC) or trades qualification (C&G or NVQ) in either mechanical or electrical and willingness to learn and grow
- The M&E Quantity Surveyor will support the calculation and management of costs relating to projects.
- Assist in monitoring the capital expenditure phases of development of a project.
- Assist in quantifying various elements of the construction projects.
- The M&E Quantity Surveyor will assist in quantifying and creating project budgets and sub-contractor packages.
- Analyse project finances and report against initial project
- The M&E Quantity Surveyor will have a demonstrable track record in the successful delivery of pre and post contract M&E cost management services
- Ability to advise clients on key M&E cost drivers, project costs and value engineering
- Feasibility and cost planning, procurement advice, tender documentation and post contract services
- Effective and efficient knowledge of a range of project procurement options
- Attending site meetings and becoming familiar with each Project/Site
- Experience management the commercial aspects of M&E either from a sub or main contractor
- Previous experience working on Data Centre projects is advantage but not essential
- Ability to work with the minimum of supervision
- Willingness to travel occasionally
