Junior/Assistant Quantity Surveyor
THE COMPANY:
We are representing one of the UKs award-winning contractors, specialising in modular build, who are looking for a Junior/Assistant Quantity Surveyor to join their growing team.
THE RESPONSIBILITIES:
The Junior/Assistant Quantity Surveyor will play a pivotal role in supporting the Commercial Team and ensuring projects remain within budget. As such The Junior/Assistant Quantity Surveyors primary responsibilities will include:
- Supporting the calculation and management of costs related to projects.
- Assisting in monitoring the capital expenditure phases of project development.
- Quantifying various elements of the construction projects.
- Participating in the creation and quantification of project budgets and sub-contractor packages.
- Analysing project finances and reporting against initial project budgets.
- Assisting in the preparation of tender and contract documents.
- Supporting cost analyses and monitoring cost variations.
SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
- The Junior Quantity Surveyor will hold a degree in Quantity Surveying and ideally possess relevant work experience.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- The Junior/Assistant Quantity surveyor will possess strong interpersonal skills, capable of working both independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
- Proficiency in MS Office applications.
- Willingness to tackle challenges and proactively solve problems.
- The Junior/Assistant Quantity Surveyor will have a meticulous attention to detail, be numerically literate, and capable of multitasking.
- Ability to understand and apply feedback to enhance work performance.
- Experience in modular construction is desirable, but not essential.
