THE COMPANY

We are representing one of the leading M&E subcontractors in the UK, who are currently looking for an Electrical Design Engineer to join them in their London office.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• The Senior Electrical Design Engineer will be working as part of the design undertaking RIBA stages 3- 5 design on projects from data centres, commercial, rail, pharmaceutical / labs and hotels
• The Senior Electrical Design Engineer will be a Project Leader for the DC sector somebody who is happy to peer review consultancies drawings and value engineer on drawings and focussing on the pure electrical aspects of projects
• Leading projects and coordinating the projects with the main contractors, consultancies, and internal project management team
• The Senior Electrical Design engineer will have hands on design engineering experience leading the electrical
• The Senior Electrical Design Engineer you will have min 6 years’ experience in an Electrical Engineering role within a building services context
• The Senior Electrical Design engineer will be carrying out site inspections and surveys, and detail design development
• You will ensure electrical distribution and power generation, lighting design, security systems etc, and having experience of detailed co-ordination with other design disciplines,
• You are already well versed in the use of relevant design software.
• Passion for creative and intuitive design.

• The Senior Electrical Design Engineer have proven ability in producing low energy, creative design solutions, preparing specifications and project reports

SKILLS AND BACKGROUND

• Qualified to MEng or BEng Degree level or equivalent in either electrical engineering or building services engineering.
• Relevant experience as a Senior level Electrical Design Engineer within a consultancy or M&E Contractor.
• The Senior Electrical Engineer will have experience of working on a range of building services projects
• Experience within a client facing role is essential for the successful Senior Electrical Design Engineer.
