Design Manager
Due to continued multiple project wins, our client is looking for Design Managers with a background in building services, structural or civil engineering to join a team of a very well-established Data Centre Design Consultancy.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- The Design Manager will deliver and overall manage the mission critical projects by being a vital link between the multi-disciplinary design teams involved.
- The Design Manager will run project trackers and ensuring project milestones are hit and coordinate design stage issues.
- The Design Manager will be reviewing contract documents and contractual obligations.
- The Design Manager will be responsible for the efficient management of the project, team and external partners/ sub-consultant management, pre- and post-contract.
- Managing, agreeing and tracking of RFIs, client decisions and approval procedures, ensuring submissions align with client expectations.
- The Design Manager will be involved in client and design team meetings, taking notes and tracking actions.
SKILLS AND BACKGROUND
- The Design manager will be Degree qualified in Building Services, civil or structural engineering or Architecture.
- The Design Manager will have excellent communication and management skills.
- Consultancy or Architecture background.
- The Design Manager will have a strong understanding of construction project design processes and will have experience of working on multiple projects to tight deadlines.
- Experience of design management tools such as trackers for actions, information requested, deliverables, client comments and variations.
- No prior Data Centre experience needed.
